MILD TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY (MTBI) OR CONCUSSION AND SPORTS
Mild traumatic brain injuries (mTBIs), often referred to as concussions, can occur due to a bump, blow, or jolt to the head. They can also happen if an athlete experiences a hit to the body that causes their head to quickly move back and forth. These occurrences are happening more and more in today's sports. URSAFE feels the need to educate our readership more by providing a link below.
Read this guide to learn more about sports and head injuries, and how we can make the risk of concussions smaller for our kids.

Rage on the Field
The picture to the right was taken a short time after January 18th, 1996. It is the inspiration of this website, the upcoming book "Rage on the Field" www.rageonthefield.com , and continued quest to promote sportsmanship on our athletic fields. I would like to thank all those that share this quest and my beloved family who has been with me every step of the way. --- Bob West.
